Understanding Claims
A claim is a demand made against you or your business for some type of loss or damage. It is not unusual for a claim to be made days, weeks, or even years after the actual incident occurred. Claims made well after an incident benefit the injured party and work against the park operator. Evergreen MGA, Evergreen's client services management company, has several programs that can help a campground or paddlesports operator reduce claims and manage accidents when they happen.

On-site Safety Inspections
Prompt notification of an incident puts our claims management team into action. They will investigate the scene, interview witnesses, and make an early assessment regarding liability. By effectively managing an incident, settlement payments, if due, are kept to a minimum. The involvement of attorneys may be avoided. Responsible dialogue is developed between the claimant and the insurance company. Also, in those cases where no liability exists, the claim can be denied.
Our Policy
If there is liability on the part of the insured park, our policy is to resolve that claim as equitably and quickly as possible, within the conditions of the policy. If there is no liability on the part of the insured park or its operators, and we are able to defend that position, the claim will be denied.
